Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah Friday warned that the group would take action against Israel in case of any missteps over the maritime and land border dispute with Lebanon.Nasrallah was responding to recent heightened tensions between Israel and Lebanon over oil and gas exploration in an energy block – Block 9 – on the disputed maritime border and a cement wall Israel has started constructing along the Blue Line – the United Nations demarcated land border.Nasrallah also attacked the violations of Lebanon's airspace by Israel that occur on a near-daily basis, reiterating that they were unacceptable. He said that U.S. aide provided to Lebanon is much less than that given to Israel and that Lebanon is prevented from having a good air defense system. Nasrallah also touched on the upcoming parliamentary elections to be held on May 6 . While revealing that the party will announce its candidates early this week, the Hezbollah chief reiterated that one of the constants for the upcoming elections was Hezbollah's alliance with the Amal Movement in all districts.Nasrallah maintained that there will be no alliance between Hezbollah, the Lebanese Forces or the Future Movement.
