Hariri pleads with youth to impose change ahead of voteDeclaring his faith in the Lebanese youth, Prime Minister Saad Hariri Wednesday appealed to young men and women to impose change in Lebanon as the country is bracing to hold its first parliamentary elections in nine years.He also disclosed that his Future Movement's lists in the upcoming elections, slated for May 6, will include a special representation of youth and women.The Paris IV conference was the main topic of discussion during a meeting between Hariri and a French envoy who expressed optimism that the 2018 draft state budget would be endorsed ahead of the upcoming donor conferences to boost Lebanon's economy and infrastructure.Duquesne said around 50 or so countries and international organizations would be invited by Lebanon and France for the Paris IV, which would be preceded by a conference on investment in infrastructure to be held in Beirut on March 6 .He said formal invitations for the Paris IV have not yet been launched. The French envoy later met with Finance Minister Ali Hasan Khalil with whom he discussed ongoing preparations for the Paris IV. Duquesne stressed that economic reforms should be implemented ahead of the Paris IV, according to a statement released by Khalil's media office.
