Lebanon and Armenia reinforced ties Thursday as President Michel Aoun met with his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan, Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan and Speaker Ara Babloyan.Aoun also discussed with Sargsyan Lebanon's fight against terrorism, particularly sleeper cells.Aoun, who arrived in Armenia Wednesday after an official visit to Iraq earlier in the week, received an invitation from Sargsyan to attend the "La Francophonie" summit to be held in Armenia in October 2018 .During the visit, Aoun met with members of the Lebanese diaspora in Armenia, urging them to vote in Lebanon's parliamentary elections this coming spring.Aoun's meeting with Babloyan dealt with parliamentary cooperation between Armenian MPs and Lebanese MPs of Armenian descent, and the strengthening of the Lebanese-Armenian parliamentary friendship committee.
