Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah Saturday urged citizens to give consideration to the upcoming elections and who they will vote for as it will have a direct impact on the resistance.Nasrallah said it was vital that people back Hezbollah in order to protect the resistance in Parliament.Speaking to constituents of the district and Lebanon in general, Nasrallah urged people to act responsibly when voting in the May 6 parliamentary elections. The new proportional electoral system allocates seats based on the percentage of the votes they receive, which experts say will make it harder for established parties to dominate districts.Nasrallah noted that opponents have their eye on the Baalbeck-Hermel district given the area's support to Hezbollah.Nasrallah said the proportional law was the right choice, saying he had been aware it might put some seats in the district at risk.
