Lebanon will host the 2019 Arab League Summit, Prime Minister Saad Hariri announced Thursday.An official statement after a Cabinet meeting at the Grand Serail, read by Minister of State for Women's Affairs Jean Ogasapian, said that Hariri had informed ministers of the news during the session.Heated debate marked the session, which saw Hariri walk out after comments by Finance Minister Ali Hasan Khalil and his Amal Movement ally Agriculture Minister Ghazi Zeaiter.At this point, Hariri became enraged and walked out threatening to adjourn the session until next week.Shortly after, officials, including Hariri, returned to convene the meeting that lasted until around 4 p.m.Following the Cabinet meeting, Culture Minister Ghattas Khoury was delegated by Hariri to head to Maarab – Geagea's home and headquarters – alongside Information Minister Melhem Riachi who is from the LF.The meeting between Khoury and Geagea is expected to prove to be a preliminary step toward a coming meeting between Geagea and Hariri.
