Lebanese Army chief Gen. Joseph Aoun Monday thanked countries providing support to the military during last year's "Fajr al-Joroud" operation against militant groups on the country's northeastern border.The Army head also voiced his assurance that Lebanon would remain committed to the U.N. resolution that ended the 2006 War with Israel and set out post-conflict conditions for south Lebanon.Lauding the Army's role in preserving a calm Lebanon at a time when the Middle East was witnessing deadly clashes, Aoun said that the Army would continue to defend the country and maintain its security and stability.
