Lebanon liaising with Turkey, Netherlands over bomb plotLebanese authorities are working with their Turkish and Dutch counterparts in an effort to track down suspects in the recent attempted assassination of a Hamas Movement official, a source close to the Lebanese premier told The Daily Star Sunday. Local media quoted sources close to investigations Saturday as saying one suspect, who a security source told The Daily Star had been identified as Ahmad Beitiye, reportedly left for Amsterdam after carrying out the Jan. 14 attack.Beitiye and his suspected accomplices were working for the Israeli intelligence agency, local media reported, however, the security source said he could not confirm Beitiye's connection to Israel.The source said he could also not confirm the number of suspects involved, and did not want to go into further details of the case.
