Nada Bahlawan, born in 1975, was shot and killed in Beirut's Ras al-Nabeh neighborhood by a man identified by eyewitnesses and via CCTV as her husband, Fadi Ghazi Askar, born in 1967 .At the time of the shooting, the suspect had attempted to cover his face, but he was identified thanks to eyewitnesses and CCTV cameras, the source said. A video taken at the scene showed a man with a black cover over his head attempting to flee in the rental van he had driven to the crime scene, which authorities later said had been rented in Askar's name.Persons close to the victim told local media outlet MTV that long-standing problems had existed between the husband and wife. The man, identified by the state-run National News Agency as A.A.R., but whom the victim, in news reports, referred to as "Hussein," was arrested by the Internal Security Forces in Marjayoun and taken to a local police station.
