European ambassadors Monday acknowledged the achievements of Prime Minister Saad Hariri's government over the last year but urged reform and preparation ahead of major donor conferences this year. During a meeting between the Hariri, the EU Ambassador Christina Lassen and ambassadors of EU member states to Lebanon, the diplomats acknowledged the passage of the first state budget in 12 years, the agreement on a new electoral law and last week's confirmation that parliamentary elections will be held on May 6, a statement from the EU reported.The EU delegation encouraged the Lebanese government to be prepared for the upcoming international support conferences in Rome, Paris and Brussels respectively.
