German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier laid a wreath at Martyrs' Square in Downtown Beirut Tuesday during a day of meetings and tours held for his official visit to Lebanon.Steinmeier met with Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdel-Latif Derian at the Sunni institution's headquarters in Aisha Bakkar and held discussions with religious heads from various denominations.Since his arrival Monday, the German president has already sat down with high-level officials for discussions, including his Lebanese counterpart President Michel Aoun.
