UNRWA launched an appeal of $800 million for its emergency programs during an event in Geneva, the agency's media office said in a statement Tuesday.In Syria, UNRWA gives cash assistance to over 400,000 Palestinians and provides education to over 47,000, in addition to psychosocial support and safety awareness training, the statement read.In occupied Palestine, almost 1 million Palestinian depend on UNRWA for food assistance and experience difficult socioeconomic conditions.
