The Permanent Military Court Thursday concluded an interrogation of suspected combatants in the Arsal clashes in 2013 that killed two Army soldiers.Pierre Bachaalani were killed in the clash in February 2013 while carrying out an operation in Arsal to arrest a high-level suspect with links to the Syrian opposition and groups sympathetic to Al-Qaeda.Giving his account, Ali Hujeiri denied having known the patrol belonged to the Lebanese Army. Gen. Imad Othman, head of the Information Branch at the time, who also allegedly said there were no Army patrols in Arsal.Ali Hujeiri claimed to have ordered Hussein and Mahmoud to take the injured Army soldiers to receive treatment in Arsal, adding that Hussein allegedly complied, while Mahmoud refused the request.
