A recreational boat captain training program concluded Tuesday with a practical maneuver in the port of Sidon, as more than 34 captains obtained boating licenses.A recent circular from the Public Works and Transport Ministry had required boat owners and captains to obtain a license to operate personal, touristic and transport boats.The course trained more than 34 captains on how to operate boats, comply with public safety regulations, determine a boat's position and destination while at sea, deliver first aid and extinguish boat fires.After the license expires, the captain is required to take the training program again to renew it.
