President Michel Aoun Wednesday reiterated that Lebanon is unable to bear the burden of Syrian refugees, renewing his criticism of the United Nations' and European Union's approach to the matter.Aoun's comments came one day after the Foreign Ministry's political affairs director, Ghady al-Khoury, met with UNHCR's Lebanon representative Mireille Girard to voice Lebanon's reservations over the agency's policy on the Syrian refugee presence in the country.The number of Syrian refugees registered with the U.N. refugee agency in Lebanon dropped below 1 million in November 2017 for the first time since 2014 .
