A controversial decree granting Lebanese citizenship to hundreds of people was published by the Interior Ministry Thursday, though the move has not stemmed the storm of criticism and questions over the manner and timing of the decree's passage.The decree, in the form it was published Thursday, gives citizenship to just over 400 people who hold at least 20 different nationalities. Local media also reported that 19 of those included in the decree were formerly stateless.General Security is set to vet all the names listed.Saad said he would not accept the decree gaining legitimacy through General Security's investigation.
