battle heats up, Hariri confirms PSP allianceMP Walid Jumblatt met with Prime Minister Saad Hariri in the latest get-together to discuss an electoral coalition between Jumblatt's Progressive Socialist Party and the Future Movement as had happened in past elections.Speaking to reporters after the meeting held at his Downtown Beirut residence, Hariri confirmed the Future Movement's electoral coalition with the PSP in the upcoming polls, but said that coalitions with the Free Patriotic Movement and the Lebanese Forces were still being examined.Hariri later met with Information Minister Melhem Riachi, who has been meeting with the prime minister in an attempt to improve ties between the Future Movement and the LF, strained since Hariri's resignation crisis last year, and explore the prospects of an electoral alliance between the two parties.Riachi is one of three ministers representing the LF in the Cabinet.Before Riachi arrived for the meeting with Hariri, the premier was asked about a possible electoral alliance between the Future Movement and the LF.
