The Higher Judicial Council Tuesday announced their intention to prosecute former Minister Wiam Wahhab for offending judicial authorities and questioning their work.The Judicial Council asked the public prosecutor to initiate public proceedings against Wahhab and carry out the necessary investigations after the former minister criticized the judiciary last Sunday during a televised appearance on Al Jadeed TV. Separately, Justice Minister Salim Jreissati denied he referred judges Riad Abu Ghida and Samir Hammoud to the Judicial Inspection Department over comments made to the press after local media reports.The ISF have now completed investigations into Itani's case as requested by Judge Ghida's, a security source told The Daily Star Tuesday, adding that Ghida will turn in her final report on the case Wednesday.
