A representative of the public prosecutor at the Military Tribunal filed a lawsuit against Maj.Hajjar referred the former Internal Security Forces anti-cybercrime chief and Ghabash to Military Investigative Judge Riad Abu Ghaida, asking him to issue two arrest warrants and question the suspects due to the information uncovered in the prosecution's investigation. The case took a turn recently after Abu Ghaida requested that the ISF Information Branch investigate inconsistencies in the evidence and testimony against Itani. This investigation was carried out under the supervision of State Prosecutor Samir Hammoud and reportedly showed clear evidence that Hobeiche had hired a hacker, identified as Ghabash, to fabricate evidence implicating Itani.
