The Future Movement and the Lebanese Forces said Friday they were struggling in a last-ditch attempt to reach a deal on an electoral alliance amid chaos and confusion gripping rival factions in the lead up to Lebanon's first parliamentary elections in nine years.Khoury said there were "daily contacts" between the Future Movement and the LF in an attempt to agree on an electoral alliance.The LF website said Thursday negotiations between the party and the Future Movement reached a dead end after the Future Movement appeared to have pulled back from an initial agreement that would have seen the two parties form a joint list.Speaking in an interview with LBCI channel Thursday night, Taymour Jumblatt announced alliances with the LF and the Future Movement in the Chouf-Aley district, and vowed support for Amal Movement MP Anwar Khalil in the southern district of Hasbaya.He also said that PSP had agreed to align with the LF in Baabda and with the Future Movement in Beirut's second electoral district, known as Beirut II.
