The United Nations Security Council welcomed the recent Rome conference held in support of the Lebanese security forces as a demonstration of government unity and of international support.The Security Council met to discuss Secretary-General Antonio Guterres' recent report on U.N. peacekeeping force in Lebanon.The Security Council also reaffirmed its "strong support" for the territorial integrity, sovereignty and political independence of Lebanon.There is also talk of establishing a Model Regiment for south Lebanon to work closely with UNIFIL in line with the Security Council resolutions.
