The Christian majority Free Patriotic Movement head Gebran Bassil announced an agreement with an influential Druze party in the Couf, Aley area after a meeting with Minister for the Displaced Talal Arslan.Bassil paid a visit to Arslan, who heads the Lebanese Democratic Party, in Khaldeh and said that the agreement was more than political.A similar agreement was made between the Church and prominent Druze leader MP Walid Jumblatt in 2001 .Rai visited Brih in 2016, after visiting the area with Jumblatt in 2012 .
