MP Walid Jumblatt Wednesday criticized renewed discussions over leasing more power barges to boost Lebanon's electricity provision, one day after President Michel Aoun criticized officials for not presenting an alternative.President Aoun urged the ministers at a Cabinet meeting Tuesday to present "practical proposals" to solve the electricity crisis.Abi Khalil belongs to the Free Patriotic Movement, which was founded by Aoun.The president was reported to have initially supported Abi Khalil's plan to lease the barges, but the plan has been opposed by the Lebanese Forces, Hezbollah, the Amal Movement, the Kataeb Party and Jumblatt's bloc.
