Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Lebanese Forces chief Samir Geagea held an ice-breaking meeting Tuesday night, in the first encounter between the two leaders since they fell out more than six months ago over the crisis sparked by Hariri's resignation.Another ice-melting meeting took place earlier in the day at Baabda Palace between President Michel Aoun and Speaker Nabih Berri, in the first sit-down between the two leaders since last year, following tensions between the Free Patriotic Movement and the Amal Movement.Speaking to reporters after the nearly two-hour meeting, Geagea said he asked Hariri for a new government with new faces and new approach to cope with the country's political and economic problems.Describing the meeting with Hariri as "extremely positive," Geagea said the period of tensions between the LF and the Future Movement was over.Tuesday's was the first meeting between Hariri and Geagea since the crisis over Hariri's resignation from Riyadh last year.Earlier in the day, Berri described his talks with Aoun as "excellent".
