Government-run hospitals will be closed to all patients Thursday in a strike announced at a protest that saw security forces injure one demonstrating hospital employee, according to the state-run National News Agency.The NNA reported that the protesters decided to escalate their protest by closing hospital doors to all patients, including emergency cases, until their demands are met. Public hospital employees across Lebanon have gone on routine strikes in recent months, demanding a pay hike in accordance with last year's salary scale law.Abdul-Latif Issa, a representative of the protesters, told the NNA that one hospital employee was injured by security forces.
