Former Prime Minister Tammam Salam voiced his support Thursday for Prime Minister Saad Hariri in the formation of a new government after the recent parliamentary elections.Hariri will resign as prime minister on May 21 when the current Parliament's term ends and the Cabinet goes into caretaker status. Hariri is widely expected to be reappointed as premier. The most recent Cabinet under Hariri was formed six weeks after the election of President Michel Aoun in October 2016 .
