As an implementation of the Capital Investment Program presented at CEDRE, the High Council for Privatization and Public Private Partnership signed agreements with the private sector to implement three main projects: the development of a National Information Center; the expansion of Beirut's Rafik Hariri International Airport; and the expansion of the Beirut-Okaibeh Highway. This is considered an application of Public Private Partnership Law No. 48, which was enacted in September 2017 .The PPP law has introduced a new legal framework that creates the enabling environment for the private sector to invest in infrastructure projects in Lebanon. In spite of the decline in GDP growth, the banking sector's annual growth has increased to 7.6 percent and the private sector's deposits have increased to 7.2 percent during the last five years. The banking sector is spread regionally and globally through 18 banks and 359 banking units in 32 countries and 90 cities around the globe.
Looking forward to a Greater Lebanon
