The Lebanese Army Wednesday honored a soldier who was killed in clashes in the northern city of Tripoli, the day before in a funeral procession in his hometown. Ali Hasan Mustafa was wounded when fighting broke out between Army forces and fugitives they were pursuing in central Tripoli Tuesday afternoon. A crowd of civilians and Army personnel attended Mustafa's funeral, held in the Tripoli area town of Mina.Col. Mohammad Shmeitli spoke at the ceremony, mourning the soldier's loss and recalling his sacrifice, on behalf of both Army Commander Gen. Joseph Aoun and caretaker Defense Minister Yaacoub Sarraf.
