Newly elected Baalbeck-Hermel MP Jamil al-Sayyed, who has recently been drawing attention to security gaps in the area, tweeted Sunday criticizing the work of the security forces in the area. The state of the security situation in and around Baalbeck prompted the president earlier this month to call for a meeting for the Higher Defense Council to take action. The unstable security situation in the area has affected some hospitals that have pushed for more to be done.
