Acting U.N. Special Coordinator for Lebanon Pernille Dahler Kardel held a series of consultations in Tehran with senior Iranian officials Sunday, including with Foreign Minister Javad Zarif.A representative of the Office of the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon told The Daily Star Monday that these meetings came as part of regular regional consultations focused on the importance of safeguarding Lebanon's stability, security and sovereignty, and shielding the country from regional conflicts.
