The French Embassy in Lebanon held a ceremony in Beirut this weekend to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Nov. 11, 1918 truce that ended World War I, the state-run National News Agency reported.The Armistice Day ceremony, held Saturday, was headed by French Ambassador to Lebanon Bruno Foucher at the French military cemetery near Horsh Beirut.On Saturday, a delegation from the French Embassy, headed by Consul General Karim Ben Cheikh, had visited Tripoli's French military cemetery, according to the NNA.
