Future Movement MP Nazih Najm Monday vowed his party would not provide political cover for anyone involved in causing a flood of sewage and rainwater in Beirut's Ramlet al-Baida last week.Following a meeting of the Future bloc, Najm said the party would not shield anyone and would seek accountability "no matter how big they are ... or what their allegiances are". His comments came after he organized a meeting of Beirut MPs in Parliament Monday morning in an effort to take action against those responsible for the flooding, as local officials have traded blame.
