British Ambassador Chris Rampling said that his country hopes Lebanon will be able to form its Cabinet soon, according to a statement released Sunday by the Kataeb Party following his meeting with former president and ex-Kataeb leader Amin Gemayel.Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri has been unsuccessful in forming a new government, as the country's two major Christian parties – the Lebanese Forces and the Free Patriotic Movement – have been embroiled for more than four months in a fierce struggle over Christian representation in the next Cabinet. The international community has been pressuring Lebanon to speed up the formation, so that certain reform projects can be implemented under a fully-empowered government.
