Parliament's Finance and Budget Committee Monday approved a draft law paving the way for the creation of a standardized health care card for Lebanese citizens.Caretaker Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani said the health care card system would not overlap with the role of the National Social Security Fund.After the meeting, committee head MP Ibrahim Kanaan said "great progress" was made and that debate over how to fund the system would be continued during the committee's next meeting.Separately, Parliament's joint committees will convene Thursday after Speaker Nabih Berri called for the meeting, a Parliament source confirmed Monday.
