General Security will look for an alternative site on which to build its new center after an outcry erupted in response to plans to build it on land belonging to Horsh Beirut, a senior source at the agency told The Daily Star Thursday.Thursday morning, The Daily Star ran a report on the ongoing excavation works at the site. They had been moving ahead rapidly Wednesday on the same plot of land – Plot 1925 – set aside for Beirut's largest green space, though they had been separated from Horsh Beirut by Gamal Abdel-Nasser Street.
