Response teams rescued 12 campers in Chouf Sunday morning after a flash flood swept away their tents around dawn. The incident occurred as rains and lower temperatures moved through Lebanon following several days of warm, dry weather.Sunday's dry and hazy weather, which saw winds of up to 80 kilometers per hour, marked the beginning of the new weather front.Last month, the Litani River Authority warned that people should stay away from the Litani River because of flood risks, during what has been one of Lebanon's wettest winters in recent years.
