Lebanon is bracing for another round of stormy weather and heavy snowfall, which Beirut airport's Meteorological Department has forecast will hit over the weekend and into the coming week.Looking to Friday, snow should reach 1,000 meters, about the elevation of Bekaa's Al-Ain, and conditions are expected to be similar to those Thursday.Snow is expected to retreat Saturday to 1,200 meters (think the elevation of Baskinta), accompanied by thunderstorms and winds that could reach up to 80 kph at night. For Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, further drops in temperature are likely, along with snowfall at about 900 meters (about the altitude of North Lebanon's Sfira), which is expected to drop to elevation as low as 700 meters by the end of next week.
