Lebanon's Housing Bank has filed a lawsuit against singer Mohamad Eskandar and his son for a music video in which he alleges corruption in the lending of housing loans to married couples. The video is set in a place called Fawda Land -- "The Land of Chaos" -- whose icon is heavily imbalanced scales of justice against a red-and-white backdrop, the same colors that appear on the Lebanese flag. In the part of the video at the heart of the lawsuit filed Monday, a man sits at a desk behind a sign reading "Housing Bank" as a married couple in wedding garb attempts to obtain a loan.According to a judicial source, the Housing Bank in Lebanon is claiming the video is libelous and slanderous, and is suing Eskandar; his son, who composed the song; the video's producer; and its director.
