Tahalof Watani ("My Nation's Coalition") Tuesday suspended the Sabaa Party's membership until an investigation into accusations made by former member MP Paula Yacoubian concludes, the state-run National News Agency reported. She accused the Free Patriotic Movement Monday of organizing an online smear campaign against her with help from a member of Sabaa. The party had recently kicked her out for, it said, ignoring its main legislative agenda, not criticizing all political camps equally and failing to disclose all her personal holdings.Yacoubian has not responded to the claims directly.Yacoubian denied the claims, saying she owned only one property outside Lebanon -- in the U.S. -- and that as someone who never had access to public funds before becoming an MP last year, she acquired properties she has owned using her own wealth.
