Three Lebanese citizens were sentenced to prison in the United Arab Emirates Wednesday, drawing heavy criticism for an alleged lack of due process at the trial.Two were sentenced to 10 years in prison, while the third has been sentenced to life in prison, according to relatives and Amnesty International.Chouman's relative, speaking to the Associated Press Wednesday, said that Chouman had been a resident of the Emirates for 15 years.Amnesty International lambasted the verdict.At the start of Ramadan, in a message to UAE authorities, Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil asked for the release of the detainees.
