This article was amended on Friday, May 31 2019

A previous version of this article stated that the more than 400 employees had been indicted and that a lawsuit had been filed against them. In fact, their salaries have been halted and an investigation has been launched into the circumstances of their employment, but no lawsuit has been filed and no indictments have been issued. The Daily Star regrets these errors.
