The British Embassy in Beirut thanked the Lebanese authorities Friday for their help in reaching a judicial decision on the killing of embassy employee Rebecca Dykes.In a Mount Lebanon criminal court Friday, Metn District Penal Judge Mohammad Wissam Mortada sentenced Tarek Houshieh to death for Dykes' 2017 rape and murder.Dykes was found dead on Dec. 16, 2017, on a highway outside Beirut.Shortly after Dykes' death, her family established the Rebecca Dykes Foundation to support her humanitarian causes.
