Thousands of students marched in Sidon on Wednesday, the 21st day of Lebanon's nationwide anti-government demonstrations.
Students from various educational institutions in the city, ranging from middle school to university gathered in Elia Square at 7 a.m., to march through the city.
Students also demonstrated in front of South Lebanon Water Establishment and the Sidon serail.
Students in Sidon reacted, in part, to an audio recording that went viral Tuesday evening, in which a school principal from the Aabra district threatened to expel students joining anti-government demonstrations.
The Education Ministry issued a statement condemning the content of Wazen's audio message.
