BEIRUT: A suicide car bomber killed at least four people, including two Hezbollah members, and wounded 11 others in Nabi Othman village in east Lebanon Sunday night, security sources said.
They said the bomber blew up his vehicle as Hezbollah security personnel intercepted his car and tried to stop him. Two of the slain people were Hezbollah members who were among the force chasing bomber, the sources added.
Nusra Front and the little known The Brigade of Free Sunnis in Baalbek, claimed responsibility for the bombing and vowed more attacks.
It was the first bombing in Lebanon in 22 days. Syrian Islamists have launched a wave of bombings targeting areas where Hezbollah enjoys wide support in what they say is response to the group's interference in the civil war there.
