Beirut doctor found dead in hospital toilet

BEIRUT: An anesthesiologist was found dead Tuesday in a hospital toilet in Beirut, a security source told The Daily Star.

The source said Dr. Mohammad Salim Qassem, 39, was found dead in the restroom of Sahel hospital, south of Beirut.

He said Qassem was found grasping a syringe and had blood stains on his left hand.

Investigations are under way to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
