BEIRUT: Lebanon’s share of gas in the Middle East is valued at $4 billion annually, Professor Nabil Khalifeh, a geopolitics analyst, said Friday.
Khalifeh told a news conference at the Press Club in Furn al-Shubbak that the value of gas in the Middle East is estimated at $700 billion and Lebanon’s share is estimated at $4 billion annually.
Khalifeh based his claims on a number of documents, and maps of oil deposits in the region.
On Thursday, Parliament endorsed a law that demarcates the maritime borders of Lebanon, Israel and Cyprus.
