BEIRUT: Two brothers were wounded Thursday after four hand grenades exploded in a petrol station in Rweisat Jdeideh, Beirut, a security source said.
The source told The Daily Star the grenades were tossed at the Mar Elias gas station in the district 3 kilometers northeast of Beirut at dawn Thursday by unknown assailants.
The wounded, Fouad Al-Samlawi and his brother, Sharif, both Egyptian nationals, were wounded by broken glass after the gas station windows shattered in the blast.
Security forces rushed to the scene and opened an investigation into the attack.
