BEIRUT: Two brothers were wounded Thursday after four hand grenades exploded in a gasoline station in Rweisat Jdeideh, Beirut, a security source said.
The source told The Daily Star that the grenades were tossed by unknown assailants at the Mar Elias gas station in the district 3 kilometers northeast of Beirut at dawn Thursday.
The wounded, Fouad Samlawi and his brother, Sharif, both Egyptian nationals, were injured by broken glass after the gas station windows shattered in the blast.
Security forces rushed to the scene and opened an investigation into the incident.
