BEIRUT: “No rebel who preaches hostility toward the resistance, to the benefit of Israel, should be considered Arab, Muslim or Christian,” according to the culture minister.
During Monday’s opening ceremony of the Global Palestine Right of Return Coalition at UNESCO Palace in Beirut, a representative of Gaby Layyoun told those in attendance that during a time of Arab popular uprisings, people should not forget a commitment to revolution in the cause of liberating Palestine.
“We should increase our joint efforts, regionally and internationally, to correct the general course of Arab policies on Palestine,” said Nassif Qazzi, speaking on behalf of the minister.
Burhan Ghalioun, the head of the opposition Syrian National Council, has recently stated his group’s intention to alter Syria’s ties with Hezbollah and Hamas, should it gain power.
