BEKAA, Lebanon: A Lebanese businessman was kidnapped at gunpoint in east Lebanon Wednesday, a security source told The Daily Star.

The source said unknown gunmen in a black Cherokee intercepted Ahmad Zaidan as he drove in Sahel Telya near Baalbek, and pulled him out of his Volkswagen at gunpoint.

Zaidan runs a dairy factory for his brother, well-known businessman Mohammad Zaidan, in Baalbek.
