BEIRUT: Cardinal Nasrallah Butros Sfeir left Beirut
Wednesday on a trip to Amman during which he will visit the Jordan
River, the site of the baptism of Jesus Christ.
“I am visiting Jordan on
the invitation of some friends and I do not know whether I will meet
with Jordanian officials,” Sfeir told reporters at Rafik Hariri
International Airport in Beirut. Sfeir also urged Lebanese officials to
promptly form a government to address socio-economic problems.
